RED method
Rate, Errors, and Duration for each service: how many requests it gets, how many fail, and how long they take. It measures what users feel, so alerts watch it. Tom Wilkie named it as a service-level version of Google's four golden signals.
Observability
In Quorum#
The Dashboard (D) opens after Metrics research. Its Golden signals row charts traffic, latency, and, with Structured logs, errors for your whole system over time. A per-Service RED row is not built yet; use the Golden signals row to see when users started to suffer.
