Diurnal traffic
The daily rise and fall of demand that follows when people are awake and active. Consumer services often peak in the evening and are quietest in the early morning. Capacity planning must cover the daily peak, and the trough is a safe time for maintenance.
Performance
In Quorum#
Demand follows a daily cycle on the Calendar: by default it peaks at 20:00 at 1.45× the average and falls to 0.55× at 08:00. Each Venture sets its own curve; for example, Fintech peaks at 14:00 and swings ±60%. When you open more regions, each region peaks at its own local 20:00. One sim second is one calendar minute, so a full day passes in 24 minutes at 1×: size for the evening peak, or let an Autoscaler follow the curve.
