DNS round robin
Load spreading by DNS: a name returns several IP addresses, and the server rotates their order so clients spread across hosts. DNS does not know whether a host is alive, and clients cache answers for the record's TTL.

DNS round robin research unlocks the DNS Component, which splits Users evenly across up to 8 hosts. With no health checks, a dead host keeps its share and those requests fail. After Health checks research, DNS drops a dead host once its TTL runs out: 30, 300, or 3,600 s. A Load Balancer notices a dead host faster, at its next health check.
