Distributed tracing
Following one request across every service it touches. Each hop records a span with its start and end time, and spans that share a trace ID join into one trace. Traces show where time goes and which dependency is slow.

In Quorum#
The Distributed tracing Research (after Percentiles) promises each request kind's time, Node by Node, but buying it changes nothing in the game today. The closest thing that works now is the Analytics Node, which samples the traffic of the Nodes you link into it and turns it into Insight. Percentiles show p50, p95, and p99, and the Board marks the Bottleneck.
