ReferenceGlossary
At-least-once delivery
A delivery guarantee where the system resends a message or call until it is acknowledged. Nothing is lost, but some messages arrive more than once, so consumers must be idempotent.

A retried call can arrive twice. In the Double charge Incident, charges time out and retry, and some customers pay twice until you research Idempotency keys or stop retries on the charge Link. In the Poison message Incident, a task that always fails keeps coming back, and Workers spend 90% of their time on it. Turn on the Queue's dead-letter queue to prevent it, or delete the message to end it.
