Burn rate
How fast a service spends its error budget, relative to the SLO. A burn rate of 1 spends exactly the whole budget in the SLO window; a burn rate of 10 spends it in a tenth of the window. Teams page on a high burn rate instead of on single errors.

In Quorum#
With SLO dashboards researched, the Dashboard (D) charts the error budget burn rate over time: your failure rate divided by the share of failures the SLO allows. Lines mark 1× and 10×; above 10×, the budget is gone long before the week ends. Fix the cause or slow your deploys until the line drops below 1×.
